Everything you need to install, configure and run your PythonX Expert Advisor on MetaTrader 5.

1. Installation Guide

Open MetaTrader 5 and go to File → Open Data Folder.
Navigate to MQL5 → Experts and copy your .ex5 file there.
Restart MetaTrader 5 or refresh the Navigator panel.
Drag the EA onto the correct symbol and timeframe chart.
Enable Algo Trading in the toolbar.

2. Recommended Settings

Use the exact symbol and timeframe the EA was built for (shown on each product page).
Start with the default optimized set and a low-spread ECN account.
Respect the recommended minimum balance and leverage.

3. VPS Recommendation

For M1 and high-frequency systems, a low-latency VPS close to your broker's servers is strongly recommended for stable 24/5 execution and consistent fills.

4. Prop Firm Usage

Several PythonX EAs are designed around strict drawdown rules. Confirm your firm's rules on EAs, news trading and maximum daily loss, and select a system with a controlled drawdown profile.

5. Troubleshooting

EA not trading? Check that Algo Trading is enabled and the smiley face is active on the chart.
No symbol? Ensure the exact pair is visible in Market Watch.
Different results? Spreads, slippage and execution vary between brokers — always forward test first.
